Whether you are an experienced or beginning gardener, all will find inspiration and gardening information at the fifth annual Master Gardener Summer Garden Tour on Saturday, June 8 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Be sure to mark your calendar and save the date to see this year’s grand garden event, now on a Saturday and with longer hours!

Six home landscapes throughout Hutchinson have been selected to feature diverse plantings, creative landscapes and stylish outdoor living spaces. Highlights of the tour include a serene garden with Asian influences; an artist’s garden accented with garden rooms, a lily pond and enchanting water features; a charming cottage garden with special accents; a magnificent landscape with mature trees and well-designed garden beds; a gorgeous mature flower garden complete with vegetables, a gazebo and handcrafted birdhouses; and a multi-level garden with a golf course backdrop and extensive hardscaping including an outdoor fireplace.

Reno County Extension Master Gardeners will be your tour guides at each of the six gardens, and available to answer gardening questions. Brochures and several displays on a variety of gardening topics will be available at all of the garden sites. Stop by Dillon Nature Center for light refreshments, and visit the new Children’s Playscape.
